Sustainability promise 2026

My objective:

My aim is to minimise my environmental impact whilst providing an exceptional makeup and hair service.  My commitment to sustain practices is paramount to respect the environment and contribute to a greener future.

Eco - Friendly Products:

I aim to use makeup and hair products that are eco-friendly, cruelty-free, and comprised of sustainable ingredients where possible.  I always try to choose products with minimal packaging and those made of recycled or recyclable materials where possible.  I Currently purchase kit from many cruelty free beauty brands such as Charlotte Tilbury, Tarte, Elf, Genzee, Urban Decay, bare minerals, NYX, Rms Beauty and Anastasia Beverly Hills.  I always buy cruelty free eyelashes from brands such as Salon System or Ardell.  Both of these brands are also vegan.  I also buy from some big brands that support and donate to ‘plastics for change’.

My vegan kit includes products from Genzee, peaches&Cream, NYX, Tarte and Fenty Beauty.  There are all clearly labelled in my kit and I am able to offer a full vegan makeup service as of this year.

Reducing Waste:

Where possible I use reusable makeup and hair brushes that have been fully sanitised between uses.  I use cotton bud sticks that are made with recyclable paper or bamboo rather than plastic.  I am committed to recycling all recyclable waste, such as product containers and packaging where possible.

Energy Efficiency:

I Strive to reduce the carbon footprint by minimising travel where possible and opting for eco-friendly modes of transport, sharing with assistants or public transport when work allows.  Using energy-efficient lighting and appliances where possible and always turning lighting off when leaving the room or set.

Ongoing Improvement:

My commitment to offsetting carbon emissions:

Since 2024 I have donated a Tree through ‘Just one Tree’ for each bride that I do makeup and hair for to help offset my carbon emissions.

Education and training:

I aim to stay up to date on the most sustainable practices along with keeping up to date with the latest sustainable products and practices within the makeup and hair industry.  I will always try to choose products from suppliers that align with my sustainable ethos.  My last course was on the 20th March 2024 with the ‘sustainable wedding alliance’.

Community Involvement:

Promoting sustainability

I will make every effort to raise awareness about sustainability amongst clients and within the community via social media and at events.  I also plan to engage with other environmentally conscious business'

Regular policy updates:  This policy will be reviewed and updated annually to incorporate new sustainable practices and technologies.

This policy is focusing on practices that reduce environmental Impact as a makeup and hair artist whilst maintaining high standards of service.  It is important to me to continually adapt and integrate new sustainable methods and products as they emerge.

Carbon Reduction Plan 2026

My Carbon reduction plan outlines my commitment to reduce greenhouse gas (GHG) emissions during 2026 and beyond.  I aim to work responsibly by measuring my emissions, reducing waste, selecting ethical suppliers and embedding sustainability into everyday decision making.
